Ruby Tuesday: Stella Sends a Thank You
For today’s Ruby Tuesday card I stamped the Baroque swirls in Groovy Guava on one of those unpatterned sheets I’m coming to appreciate more and more all the time. “Unpatterned” isn’t exactly a suitable term, though. It may be subtle but it’s much more than just a plain piece of paper. I’d make that background if I knew how, but thank goodness Stella did it for me. Otherwise I may not have had time to cut out all those little flowers. The square panel is a floral print – one I didn’t mind using for support rather than the main feature.
If, by any chance, this layout looks familiar to those of you who play the SCS challenges it’s because it was SC75 from clear back in June 2006 which was based on one of my cards. I point this out just in case a very observant and concerned individual may notice it’s a CASE. Well, it is a CASE, but I CASE’d myself. I think Stella’s thank you card pretty much explains itself, although I don’t know if you can tell there’s Linen stamped on the River Rock. It’s stamped in the same color ink so it’s more a feel than a look. I can never get over how Linen makes me believe I can actually feel it on the paper. It’s a most amazing stamp. Fabulous, Fabulous Card! I love the papers, colors and sketch…and that river rock linen stamped paper looks fantasic! Shoot…now I’m really wanting that River Rock Ink.(and I told myself I do not need all the in colors this year..lol..)

Beautiful! Funny, isn’t it, that we have to worry about CASEing even our own cards. I love the linen thread on the sentiment and how it ties in with the distressing.
Stella is looking extra lovely this morning! She’s decked out in lots of pretty flowers. What a great remake of your beautiful SCS sketch-inspiring card. It’s so nice to be reminded of what a great design this is. Love the scroll panels and those big brads. I really like the distressing too. I hope you do more remakes of your cards that were used for SCS Sketches. Linda

Lovely! I’m inspired now to pull out my Baroque Motifs and some “plain” background paper. I like the interesting layout, too, with all those cut-out flowers. TFS!
