Well Wishes

Published by leslierich at 9:56 pm under Cards

The Well WishesFlourishes team has joined Gina K for her Make a Wish fundraiser.  Do you know about Gina K and her Stamps for a Cause?  For every stamp set sold, $7.00 is donated to the cause for which it was created.  You can read all about this Make a Wish set here.  You’ll get a look at the entire set and see some of the wonderful work of her own design team.  If you look in my sidebar to the right you’ll find a list of the Flourishes designers.  When you click on their names you’ll find even more Make a Wish examples.

I chose the wishing well for my card today because I was in need of a get well card for a friend.  There are several sentiments with this set and those, alone, make it a keeper for me but the images are cute, too.  The patterns of this BasicGrey Infuse paper, available at Flourishes, were just what I needed to complete the cozy, comfortable, country feel of this card.  I stamped the main image on watercolor paper with Timber Brown Stazon and painted it with my Stampin’ Up! inks.

I hope you’ll enjoy a look around at the links I’ve provided.  Have a wonderful day!

Such a sweet, soothing card, Leslie. This is my favorite one, yet, that I’ve seen made with this set. I just got it last week - love the sentiments from it.

Your work is inspiring as well as beautiful. Your tutorials very giving. Sites like yours are very important to the “little” stampers like me who don’t have the time (or money — or maybe the talent) to delve into stamping as you have. That does not mean the likes of me don’t love looking at your work and reading about how you do it. Most blogs have too much *winking* in them for my taste which is one thing I like about yours . . . and Paperlicious’.

Which brings me to my point. I see you’ve left her comments and are a suggested link on her blog. Does that mean you might be willing to pass my name along to Joan if she starts another blog for invitees only? I stumbled on hers on August 20. What terrible timing. I have ignored all the nonsense going on but now see it has taken a drastic turn which may cause me to lose a wonderful destination before I had a chance to really enjoy it. (Lunch time is my only access!) I would really appreciate it.

Thank you for taking time to read this.
