Last Month’s Lilies
It’s been a while since I shared a garden photo. In fact, I missed the whole month of August when the Oriental lilies were in bloom. I took this photo when these Coral Bees first opened but I just never got around to posting it. They’re done now and the September show is underway. I have no garden photographs yet this month, although I did spend most of today in the garden. It’s winding down for Fall but there’s still a lot going on out there.
It’s early evening where I am on the Oregon coast. I’m going to have a little dinner and then finish a card I started last night so I’ll be back later. See you then!

Oh myyyyyyyyyy! These are the flowers that I most love to see in an arrangement in my home! Although the scent is powerful, I LOVE it! Thankfully, my DH doesn’t seem to mind, as olefactory memories aren’t as precious to him. Just to “think” that these grow successfully in gardens is a dream for me! Thanks for bringing the richness of this memory here tonight …. brief as it was.

Oh, how incredibly lovely! Lilies are one of my favorites. As I’ve told you before, I “garden” vicariously through you! I would so love to have that kind of lush, green beauty to walk out to every day, but living in the desert heat prevents that. Still, I wouldn’t want to give up my sunshiny warmth and gorgeous mountains, so I’ll just enjoy your wonderful photos and pretend…

Hey Les, I wish I had taken a photo of this unusual lily I had come up. It was given to me as tuber, so had no idea….then so busy not paying attention to yard, it bloomed and I caught the tail end of it. Next year for sure. Enjoying your lilies though! Trudy
