A Gift From Our Friends at Flourishes

Published by leslierich at 9:47 pm under Candyland

The folks at Flourishes have very generously given me an extra Peace set to share with you.  You may have already tried your hand at winning this set on one of the other Flourishes designer’s blogs.  Did you win?  No?  Well, here’s another chance!

Goodies

As you can see I’ve also included some Christmas themed designer papers and coordinating ribbons.  Now, the only thing you have to do for a chance to win is leave a comment on this post.  You don’t have to answer any questions.  This is meant to be a thank you from Flourishes and a gesture of friendship from me.  If there’s something in particular you’d like to see when you visit me here, please, I’d love to hear about it.  If I can accomodate your request I’ll dedicate that post to you.  I’d also like to encourage your questions (not that I have all the answers) and I’ll do a question and answer thing when I get them all (if any) compiled.

Your comments will be automatically numbered and a winner will be selected by a random number generator on Monday, September 24 at 8:00 pm.  The winner will be announced shortly thereafter.

Good luck to you all!

  81. buzzyon 21 Sep 2007 at 7:51 am

I am enthralled with the beauty of that dove!

I would love a tutorial on adding dimensional color around images. I’ve tried using TP like you showed us awhile back and love the texture it adds. However, when I simply want to enhance my main image I have a hard time getting that soft, “floaty” feel I’m aiming for. Clear as mud?

  82. Pam Pruetton 21 Sep 2007 at 7:52 am

I just love this stamp set!! If I don’t win it… I’m gonna buy it :-)

Kudos to Flourishes for being so generous.

wow, what a generous gesture from both you and Flourishes. Thank you so much for sharing.

I LOVE this set! And what you’ve added is spectacular as well! Pick me, pick me! That really is generous of Flourishes though — because it is such a fantastic set!

My question would have to do with the privacy issues of having a blog — maybe I’m old (I am — sorta), maybe I’m a big wee wee (I am — sorta), but I really admire you bloggers being “out there.” Any general thoughts on taking the big step?

  85. Gina Wronaon 21 Sep 2007 at 8:03 am

Wow, how awesome is that? totally! Thank you thank you very much and thank you Allison for posting the link to enter here!

  86. MelissaSon 21 Sep 2007 at 8:05 am

What fabulous candy! Thanks for the opportunity to win it! I don’t know if my question has a distinct response, but here goes: How do you deicide which patterned papers to use together in a card? Is it based on color families, pattern size, or something else? I have a hard time with this and don’t know if it a skill that one is born with or can be learned.

  87. MSBetsyZon 21 Sep 2007 at 8:05 am

Leslie, I gotta say, ANYTHING your put your hand to is always marvelous. I don’t subscribe to even a handful of blogs, but yours is one of those very few. SUCH a treat in the mornings as I linger over my final cup of coffee, lol. I love your creations as much as I do your beautiful garden pics…I am a frustrated gardener at heart, lol! Thanks so much for all your sharing…

    Hugs,
    Betsy

I would like to know what kind of paper cutter you use or would recommend. I seem to go through a lot of cutting blades. I use the Fiskars cutter with the swingout arm. Is there a better cutter or one that is self sharpening?

  111. Anita Sharpon 21 Sep 2007 at 9:44 am

    Hi Leslie,
I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate the great cards you send out daily! I love the instructions and the product list. In fact, I am using one as inspiration for the ‘Save the Date’ cards for my son’s wedding! Thanks for making me want to make cards again!!!!

Where in the world do you get all your inspiration? Some of the papers you put together I never would have thought of using. And your layouts are so great. I have a hard time just picking our colors and find that I’m not very adventurous when it comes to putting together patterns and colors.
Thanks for the inspiration you give each time I see your site.
    You’re really a blessing….

  129. Wilma Basson 21 Sep 2007 at 11:09 am

  130. Michelle Ron 21 Sep 2007 at 11:21 am

Wow! What gorgeous papers and ribbon. And the stamps from Flourishes are just *must haves* for the holiday season!

I really love your style. I have you on Google Reader and check in daily.

I would like to know how you stamp…do you choose stamps first? Or are you inspired by paper or embellishments, then choose your stamps? What time of day are you most productive and inspired? I would also like to know how you photograph your projects. Do you have a light box? I know…a lot of questions! :-)

What a cute collection of supplies you have posted from Flourishes!! I wonder if I would have ever even heard of Flourishes if I did not subscribe to “Running With Scissors.) Thanks!

Wow! Great blog candy! I was wondering what do you do to come up with such great artwork? What inspires you? How do you start a card, i.e. from a ribbon or a stamp set?

Thanks for the chance to win!
