Pumpkin Feast
Hello! Just sharing a little something I made tonight per request for a Thanksgiving card. I used an old Stampendous stamp called Pumpkin Feast. I think it’s so cute but I’ve only used it once before and that was about three years ago. The folks who buy my cards don’t seem to mind if a stamp is old, retired and not the current hot item, thank goodness. I love having the opportunity to give these tired old stamps some exercise.
I colored it with markers and shaded around the image with Stampin’ Pastels (soft chalks). After I stamped the sentiment I sprayed it with a couple of coats of matte sealer to help pop the colors and give it a nice finish. The leafy background was made by lightly and unevenly stamping Canvas on Naturals Ivory with Creamy Caramel, then wheeling Leaf Prints lengthwise in More Mustard and crosswise in Really Rust. The layout is simple to try to minimize weight and bulk.
I had to hurry to get this finished tonight and now I’ve stayed up too late so I have to keep this brief, but…hooray for Friday! Have a wonderful weekend!
Stamps: Stampendous Pumpkin Feast, Stampin’ Up! Happy Harmony sentiment (retired), Leaf prints wheel
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, Garden Green, Naturals Ivory, Very Vanilla
Ink: More Mustard, Really Rust, Basic Black, Garden Green, Creamy Caramel, various markers for coloring
Accessories: Ribbon, eyelets, Scotch brand dimensional mounting tape, spray matte sealer

Your coloring is wonderful on this. Cute image. I was just looking at my MANY SU stamps that haven’t been getting much use and thinking I really need to show them some love. Enjoy your weekend.

Marvelous coloring and Gorgeous card! I wanna be like you when I grow up!
Oh Leslie, your coloring as always is just so amazingly gorgeous! Such an adorable stamp. I am just intriqued by your BG with the canvas and leaf wheel in diff. colors. I must remember to do that sometime. TFS
Gorgeous card! I love the colors and that little squirrel in the pumpkin. Your shading with the markers, especially on the pumpkins, looks really good. It’s nice to see another fall card again before the big Christmas rush.
I hadn’t seen this stamp before, so I am glad you use the old ones too, makes them new again anyway…Love your coloring and the shading is so pretty too! Very pretty bg also!
You can make anything, some think old - new again! Absolutely gorgeous. Happy S days!

Oh my! Your customer is going to be thrilled with this beauty! The coloring is phenomenal, and I love that background layer you created. Isn’t it wonderful there are some people out there who just appreciate a pretty card, and don’t care if it’s the latest hot stamp set/embellishment/color combo/technique? Linda
This is so adorable! Oh the patience you must have!!!
Gorgeous card! Your coloring is just outstanding. Someday maybe I can color good, too! LOL!
Leslie, your coloring always amazes me! That is an adorable stamp and I definitely wouldn’t care if it was retired! Gorgeous card!
beautiful coloring, and oldies can definitely be goodies. I love stamping with my old stamps, somehow it also helps justify how much I paid for them!
