Dream Tall
Hello! I’m still here. I haven’t blown away yet. I wish this storm would quit fooling around and make up its mind. It blows in a little squall and then recedes. All day it’s been repeating itself like this. Apparently we can expect it anytime between now and late Monday night. So far I’m unimpressed. It’s windier than this in the summertime! It’s been a good day to stay in and stamp but I feel like I’ve been waiting for something all day…
I made my card for the CPS sketch, sponsored this week by Flourishes. I used Fantasy Floral Garden which I haven’t picked up since I got started with all those Christmas cards. Flourishes is featuring this set in a combo pack right now, which includes this 23-stamp set, a 6×6 pad of BasicGrey Infuse designer paper and two yards of ribbon. In the midst of all the Christmas rush which is now officially underway it’s nice to have a little floral moment now and then.
This is my first tall card. I wasn’t exactly sure of the usual measurements of a tall card but this one is 8 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ so it fits comfortably in a standard #10 envelope. I thought about breaking up the “tallness” of it but then I figured, heck, if I didn’t want it to look tall I might as well have just made a regular-size card. I used pretty Chatterbox papers and colored the flower with markers.
Well, that’s it for me… It feels like it’s been a long day so I’m going to wrap up the weekend and get ready for work in the morning. At this point, if we do have a storm, I’ll probably sleep right through it! Have a wonderful Monday (as Mondays go)!
Stamps: Fantasy Floral Garden (Flourishes)
Paper: Creamy Caramel, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Chatterbox designer paper
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, markers for coloring
Accessories: Martha Stewart ribbon, eyelets, mat pack from Stampin’ Up! and white gel pen for the faux stitches, Scotch brand dimensional mounting tape

Beautiful Leslie!! I love the paper and the faux stitches. The main image is colored so beautifully.

Very sweet and “pinkilicious”. You used such pretty elements for this. I need to venture out and make a few cards that are not the standard size. Glad to hear you’re not blown away.
This is stunning! I love how you used the large flower and such beautiful colors!
Leslie, this is gorgeous, as usual! Love that paper and those “dreamy” colors = ) !! I agree…So far, this “storm” has been way over-rated!! Come on, we live on the coast…it takes quite a bit of wind to impress us = ) … Have a great week!
Oh my,
This is just beautiful! Thanks again for always inspiring me. While the wind blows there the snow is dumping on us here! Stay warm!
Beautiful, love the paper
Beautiful, soft & dreamy.
Oh this is stunning! Love the length of the card…truly part of it’s beauty!
This is such a darling sweet card! Nice to have a break from Christmas cards for a minute! I heard on the Today Show this AM that Oregon coast had winds of over 100 mph! Are you okay? Deb
Such a beautiful card!!!!!!!
Oh so pretty and Tall! I really like how you accentuated your cards tallness. How nice to see pretty flowers on a dark, rainy and windy morning. I would agree I am yet to be real impressed with the storm. Sure nice having our lights so we can see to STAMP

Beeeeeautiful! Thanks for the idea for trying the tall card versions
Leslie, could you share some masculine looking holiday cards that could be used for thank yous? The manly cards are my greatest challenge!
What a beautiful card!!! Again, so soft and lovely, your trademark!!! The paper is so beautiful and love what you did with that large floral image — beautifully done!!! I, too, often wonder if there are *official* measurements for these size cards. I made mine 9 x 3 7/8. I do love this shape, but I have a dickens of a time taking pics of tall skinny things, I always have — you know me, seriously photo challenged - LOL!!!
What a stunning card, it’s just lovely! I wish I was one of your friends, then I’d have a chance to get a card sometime! They are very, very lucky!!! You create such AMAZING things!
LOVE the way you hid the empty space on the flower with the stand-out text layer; the answer to my unspoken prayer… Beautiful!!
This is a wonderful design..you carried out the sketch with such class…Beautiful!
Leslie, you always inspire me with your beautiful creations!!
I love how you put this card together - it just stands TALL above the rest!! Thanks for the inspiration!
Your tall card is soooo pretty, Leslie! I have yet to try this size out. I love the papers and what you’ve done with that big flower. So beautiful!!
soo pretty:) I just love soft pink colors, its a refreshing change from the rich Christmas colors. The tallness is certainly neat, it really makes the card stand out in a crowd. Great job!
Sweet card Leslie, LOVE the fun size and sweet title. Gorgeous design as always, hope you and your family are keeping safe. Jennifer
Hope you are okay - just reading about the weather online in the northeast and trust that you and your family are safe!
Beautiful!!!!!
Very pretty! I like the three graduating tiers of layers. It has a neat effect. I haven’t really started my Christmas cards yet. Some years I don’t even send them. How ironic for a card maker, huh?
Just Beautiful!!!
Lovely pink and brown card, a favorite color combo of mine. And I’m always surprised how nice yellow looks with pink, which is weird because it’s so pretty on flowers IRL. I love the art deco font in that set. Linda
OH wow, this is soooo gorgeous! I love the colors you used, LOVE the paper and coloring. So sweet!!

I wonder what i would do without all these lovely creations to look at every day! Beautiful as usual
Keep safe!

I love that you didn’t break up the “tallness”. In fact, you stressed it with that striped paper. Really wonderful.
Leslie, this is amazing — What a perfect interpretation of this sketch!!
So pretty, Leslie! Love the colors and layout. The little stitches are the perfect touch!
