Pink Peace

Published by leslierich at 12:17 am under Cards

Pink PeaceThis card is prettier in real life so I almost didn’t post it.  I wondered what would be the point of sharing it if it was so misrepresented.  I decided to go ahead with it, though, and just let you use your imagination.

This is my final Christmas card of the 2007 season.   The part that requires a vivid imagination is the texture and sparkle of the embossed main image.  I used Stardust embossing powder — very sparkly — and dotted the flower centers with Crystal Stickles.  For the ultimate glitter experience I sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds glitter onto the Stickles.  This stamp is from my Fancy Pants Blissful Season set, one of two cards I managed with this set before I put my Christmas stamps away.  I never did make it to all my new Christmas stamps — I just ran out of time.

The Christmas festivities are approaching full swing now and we’re all busy with the final preparations.  I’m sure I’ll be back with more stamping, though, because I plan to take full advantage of my time away from work.  I guess this little vacation is sort of my gift to myself, and a mighty precious one at that.  Take care and I’ll see you again soon!  Merry Christmas!

Stamps:  Blissful Season (Fancy Pants), All Year Cheer (Stampin’ Up)

Paper:  Pixie Pink, River Rock, Whisper White

Ink:  ColorBox Orchid pigment ink, River Rock

Accessories:  Stampendous Stardust EP, Crystal Stickles, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, eyelet, ribbon

This is a very beautiful card but I know what you mean. I make a card and I go “wow” then I post it and I go “oh” hehe you get my drift. Have a wonderful Christmas

Well, at least you got two beautiful Christmas cards made with this set! Love the hot pink colors and of course all the sparkle. BTW, what flowers do you suppose those all are? They don’t really look like Poinsettias. Linda

Beautiful card, Leslie! I know it must really shimmer and shine IRL - don’cha just hate how that doesn’t come across in the pics?! But I know it has major BLING factor and will be a treasure for the lucky recipient! :)

It is very Pretty Leslie, but it IS frustrating when our pictures just don’t seem to capture the beauty of what we can see with our own eye!!!! I hope that you and your family have a wonderful Holiday! Looking forward to seeing your new designs in 2008!

I just love this, and I can certainly use my imagination on this. I imagine it sparkles and twinkles in the most beautiful way. But then again, seeing I love glitter on cards, its not hard to imagine how much more wow it looks in person. Have a great, blessing filled Christmas.

Hi Leslie! I’m so glad you posted this! It’s oh so pretty and it didn’t take much imagination to see the sparkles. Love the hot pink too!! I’m giddy you are playing with this set since I just picked mine up from Lindsey a couple of days ago! I’m happy to say that I’m the enabler here ( I pointed it out to her after I saw it in an ad in CK magazine) and I’m so glad it made its way into your hands and love what you did with it and can’t wait to see more of it - Christmas in July? I would love to see what you do with the “Yes, Virginia there is a Santa Claus Santa” stamp in this set. Have a Merry Christmas and I look forward to seeing what you create in your “down” time!
