The Happy Couple
I just now had a chance to use my Wedding Party set from Flourishes. I think the most fun part of using this set is decorating the bride’s gown. All I did today was add some glitter but it sure does make a sparkly difference.
My happy couple is stamped on Whisper White cardstock and colored with chalks for a soft look. The beautiful flourishes are from the Wedding Essentials set. The actual stamp is only half of this image — the left half. I stamped it in Olive Stazon on a panel of Crystal Clear Cardstock, then again on the reverse side, thus creating this pretty wedding bower. I punched a slot, one layer at a time and tied all the panels together with pale pink satin ribbon.
And that’s all there is to it — a very simple card. I’m having the most fun with the clear cardstock! It’s so sturdy, not like regular acetate at all. In fact, I might be remembering this wrong, but I think it’s some kind of vinyl material rather than acetate. Will one of the Flourishes ladies please correct me if I’ve stated that in error?
I must go pick up the huge mess in my stamp room now and get ready for the work week. Please take care, and have a wonderful week!

This is so cute, I love it - especially the sparkle on her dress (of course!).
Gorgeous, Leslie! I love the softness of the chalks and your use of the flourish! What a great way to add the ribbon too!!
Gorgeous!!
Leslie, I especially loved the bow treatment on this card and
on your previous post. As always, nicely done!
Leslie, this is so beautiful! I love the clear cardstock, I ordered it and you’re right, it’s very thick and has more of a vinyl feel to it than acetate. It’s wonderful to work with.
This is so gorgeous, Leslie!! I LOVE your use of the clear cardstock here!!! I MUST get to using it!!! Your bride and groom are so beautiful and you always amaze me with your work with pastels — truly so soft and lovely all the time!!! Wonderful job!!!
Lisa leave it to you to treat us to a elegant, sparkley card has that unexpected AH moment you are so known for…in this case the wonderful use of the flourish and reversing it…Simple, Elegant & Stunning! Yes the new Clear card stock at Flourishes is a vinyl not an acetate…that the reason it stands and holds it shape so well. At CHA everything was featuring Clear!

So sweet and pretty!
Love the glitter and gorgeous pink satin ribbon that ties in with the pink shading around the bridal couple. Very clever use of the clear cardstock and swirl stamp, and a good way to help keep the gitter safely confined. Linda
So elegant, I love the flourishes and the soft sponging.
