A Little Something From the Garden
This is the pretty yellow flower that’s in my new blog header. It’s an Evening Primrose. Most Evening Primrose blooms stay cupped during the day and only open fully in the late afternoon and evening, but this variety stays open all day. I thought it was about time I changed my header from spring to summer. I hope you enjoy it!
Have a wonderful day!

Gorgeous! And interesting - we have evening primrose here as one of our spring wildflowers, but typically pink. Interesting that it’s a summer plant for you but I think spring!
Love it on your banner!
Absolutely gorgeous! Especially with the dew drops!
That is one beautiful photograph of one lovely Evening Primrose. You have an eye for all things beautiful.
Beautiful! Your photography is amazing, and your garden is lovely! Love the new banner!
I do not believe I have seen one of these before. It is beautiful, thanks for sharing this excellent photo.

Lovely header. I have the early evening opening primroses but they sometimes stay open fairly late the next day. Bright and cheery.

What a beautiful photo and now banner - so lovely!!
That photo is AMAZING! We made some cards this weekend in my card club using photos of flowers from my friend’s garden. This would make an AWESOME background for a card! I may have to try one with this photo when I get home from work - and LOVE it as your banner photo, too
OHHHH sooo sooo beautiful..:)
Wow, just gorgeous! Thanks for sharing…I LOVE flowers!!!
Your Evening Primrose is beautiful, I love it on your banner. I enjoy viewing the pictures you share from your garden Leslie, perhaps if I can get our deer to stand still long enough to get a picture, I’ll be able to post one . . . LOL!! Keep those gorgeous florals coming, I love them!
Wow, Leslie, that is one BEAUTIFUL blossom!!!

Our evening primrose looks just like yours……..could it be because we got our start from our friend Leslie?!? I think of you every day when I water and/or deadhead many of our perinneals that were starts from you
BTW, our evening primroses are almost finished blooming and will soon be starting their leaf color change into gorgeous fall shades. A flower filled with beauty and surprises. Thanks again Leslie for your special friendship

Leslie,
I noticed the new header right away! If the flowers look that beautiful in a photo I can’ t begin to image what they look like in real life! I always like when you share little snippets of the world around you - you are a talented photographer as well as an amazing artist!

I love this evening primrose. I have a yellow one that only blooms in the evening and a short time in the morning. Can you share the name of this variety?
