Easy is the Reason for this Season of Joy Card
There’s no putting it off any longer…it’s time I got busy with Christmas cards so I need to get myself in the spirit. I made two of these — not exactly mass production but two is better than one, I guess.
This is some very simple stamping with a punched and embossed border panel and embellished with ribbon, tiny rhinestones and Crystal Stickles. It would be easy to mass produce this design but I do like variety. It’s lightweight and flat enough for easy mailing — with a cardstock sheet protecting the front those little rhinestones won’t be a problem. Red Stickles or glitter could replace the rhinestones to make it more economical and completely eliminate any trace of a bump in the envelope.
I hope you enjoyed and found an idea or two useful. It was great that you could drop in — I love visitors!
- Stamps: Season of Joy, Many Merry Messages — both Stampin’ Up!
- Paper: Real Red, Whisper White
- Ink: Gable Green, Green Galore, Palette Noir
- Accessories: Offray ribbon, rhinestones, Crystal Stickles, Martha Stewart border punch, Snowflakes Cuttlebug embossing folder, Scotch brand foam mounting tape

Great card Leslie. I love those colors and the simplicity of the card. Two is better than none, so you are off to a good start!
Joan
Pretty, pretty, pretty.
LOVE it….. Simplicity is my goal in life!!!

Oh Leslie - your card is so beautiful! The embossed snowflakes at the top add so much dimension and life to your creation, yet the amount of embossing is subtle enough not to dominate your wonderful focal image. I particularly like your use of two contrasting shades of green, not to mention the hint of sparkle. That’s just ingeinus!
What an awesomely beautiful card! I’m going to case it soon - I hope you don’t mind!!
Beautiful as usual ! Love the trees with the sentiment on top…nice!!!
This is gorgeous, leslie! Glad you’re getting in the spirit of the season!

I love it, Leslie! So pretty and funky at once, and I love the non-traditional greens you used here. I’m with you - I just can’t get excited about mass producing this year. Linda

It’s a beautiful card. I love how the red stands out against the white.
Very cute! Unfortunately I don’t have either of those sets but might have something similar, I’ll have to check! It looks like it would be easy to mass produce and I need to make my DIL’s cards before Thanksgiving!
Just beautiful! Love your trees and the whole feel of this exception card! Deb
So pretty! I like the lave edge embossing. really makes it.

So pretty and simple, love this! I haven’t admitted this anywhere else in blogland, but… I bought my cards this year!!! Shameful, I know! But I found some cards I just LOVE, so what the heck. Maybe I’ll have to make a few handstamped cards to send to my special stamping friends, though.
This is wonderful, Leslie! Love all the embossing with the added stickles and those three rhinestones placed just so on the trees. Perfectly wonderful.
The card and colors are just beautiful! I really like how you did the tress and bling! Just perfect!
A fun Christmas card — love the punched border, embossing and fun ribbon!!! That Season’s Greetings sentiment is a favorite of mine — love that font!!!
