THE CARD
This is a very simple card I made in multiples in an effort to gain momentum on my Christmas card production. I know, the lack of layers, ribbons, and embellishments is somewhat disappointing, but I needed something that would be quick to assemble after I’d done the initial stamping. I have eight of these cards.
I spent a few minutes at home cutting cardstock and embossing the swirls and stars image, and did all the rest of the stamping, cutting and assembling on my breaks at work. It’s hard for me to settle down to a card with no more work in it than this, but I kept wondering — if I saw a box of these cards for sale in a store, would I like them? I decided I would. And though there’s not a lot to them, they’re still special because I made them, myself.
The cardstock is shimmery ivory and Rose Red. The larger tree is popped up on foam mounting tape. The swirls are embossed in a soft, pearly gold EP. The stamps are all from the Fancy Pants Blissful Season set. I hope you like my simple, very mailable Christmas card.
I’ve been very busy the last couple of weeks and haven’t been out to visit much, but I’ll be doing some catching up as soon as possible. I know I’m missing a lot! I’ll be sharing a treat on Friday, the 12th . . . I’ll have blog candy for you. I hope you’ll like it! See you then!

this is so simply elegant! hmmm, i think you’ve inspired me on my last few Christmas cards that I need! thanks!
Wow, that is just beautiful. Just, wow.
Ok, is it the photography or you are really good at embossing! I thought these WERE store bought! Too clean on the embossing - do you do something special for spots? I love this card - I haven’t done mine yet and this gives me hope!
Simply Lovely!! I would buy them
I like simple at times and with the gold embossing these are elegant as well. tfs
I see you’ve used your Fancy Pants stamps! I still love those trees. Thanks for the inspiration. The combo of images and colors makes a very lovely yet playful Christmas card. Glad to hear you’re making progress on your card production. The time to get them in the mail is approaching way too fast. This happens every year. Linda
This is beautiful, and perfect for mass production!! I love your embossing and popped trees!!
I hope you are able to find some joy during these busy times, Leslie! Hugs!!

Nothing to be disappointed about here. May be simple, but simply elegant! Thanks for posting!
I know I would be happy to receive this card! Simple, elegant - no disappointment here! No one ever shows the inside of their card - do you do anything inside or just leave it blank to write on?
Leslie! I would pick you cards if I will see them at the store! Because they are very beautiful and handmade!
I don’t know how I missed this one…now listed as a fav and yes I would purchase this as a card set(only for special friends) ..Ty for sharing.

Very pretty card!! Love the gold embossed flourishes & stars!!
You know, I have gone more simplistic as the years go on…for starters,
adding 17 cents of postage for a non-machinable card adds up!! I have
begun to make only 1 layer cards…the cardstock and 1 paper on top of that.
A handmade card, even a simple one, takes time and care and will be appreciated by the recipients because you thought about them!
So pretty, Leslie! I really like the touch of embossing and the popped up tree!
So pretty…and what a pleasant surprise to get one of these delivered to my door! Love it Leslie, and thank you for thinking of me! It’s even more beautiful in person!
