Thanks — JustRite Style

Published by leslierich at 2:08 am under Cards

JustRite Thanks Jan09I’d planned on making a thank you card with this JustRite stamp, and when I came home from our local scrapbook store with this ribbon, it pretty much sealed the deal on the design and colors.  It looks like the stamp and ribbon were made for each other.  I love when that happens!  I continued the swirl pattern with the Cuttlebug embossed panel.  After embossing, I sponged it with SU!’s white craft ink, directly from the pad to the paper, to bring out the design.  It’s a very simple card, with no special skills required to make it — just certain tools needed.

I can remember a long time ago getting to the point where I finally had plenty of stamps and needed to focus on the tools and embellishments to support the images.  Now…oh, my goodness, I have inks, ribbons, embossing powders, Cuttlebug embossing folders, Spellbinders dies, pearls, rhinestones, coloring mediums…you name it…spilling from every corner of my stamp room.  There are so many new products these days, and we want them all.  It makes my head spin!  But, oh, the choices!  A person doesn’t need to go overboard with these things, but it surely helps in your card making to have a stock of essentials.

We’re having movie night tonight and I’ve got dinner cooking and stamping I’m hoping to finish, so I’ll close with the card’s ingredients, below.  I sure hope you’re having a good weekend.  See you soon!

  • Stamps:  JustRite Harmony Classic Circle II Ensemble
  • Paper:  Pixie Pink, Whisper White plain and textured, Basic Black
  • Ink:  Palette Noir, Craft White, Craft Pink (Pigment)
  • Accessories:  Ribbon, Cuttlebug Birds & Swirls embossing folder, Spellbinders circle dies, rhinestones, clear embossing powder, Scotch brand foam mounting tape

Leslie, what a beautiful card! I love how that ribbon goes with the stamped design. And then to complete it with the Cuttlebug EF……what fun when it all goes together! I agree, we are so blessed when we have ingredients at our fingertips, and there’s so much to be had. I’ve come a long way in just 1-1/2 years with my “stash.” I love it! Thanks for sharing such an awesome card.
