I Love Roses!
This I Love Roses set from Flourishes is aptly named because I do love roses. Unfortunately, the deer love them, too, and I’ve given up trying to grow them. They won’t stop me from stamping them, though.
Isn’t a rose such a work of art? All those velvety folds wrapped around a heavenly scent . . . These images are exquisitely drawn by Marcella Hawley. I swear that girl’s name is becoming synonymous with gorgeous. I love all her artwork. There are beautifully scripted sentiments with the set, as well, but I used a sentiment from Thinking of You. The champagne satin ribbon and chocolate pearls are from Flourishes, too.
I did the coloring with Prismacolor markers. I’m really enjoying this coloring medium. It’s so easy to select a few markers to carry to work with me and color my heart out on breaks. Finding time at home to turn the images into cards is another story . . . It will happen eventually.
Thank you so much for your time today. Be well and happy till we get together again!

Ultra classy and beautiful. I love roses, too, but here in Lincoln it’s the Japanese Beetles that think my roses are their food bin.
Those roses are stunning!!
This is gorgeous. I love how the roses just pop out from the muted background colors.
Gorgeous! Love the intensity of your colouring against the neutral background!

Wow, this is totally over the top gorgeous!! I”m always too afraid to go that intense on the color but not anymore, I need to get my stamps out and play!!! Thanks so much for the inspiration!
Oh Leslie, you’ve done it again! You’ve achieved the perfect blance between the muted background and the vibrnt color of these exquisite rodes. I too bought this set, but haven’t opened it yet. I’m too scared. But your work is so enticing and it’s so very encouraging. Thank you.
Wow, this card is so beautiful, I love the roses they look so real. Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful card! I also love the little “loop” you did with the ribbon.
I love roses but only have the Knockout roses-put out 3 last spring late when they discounted them. They took off like gangbusters and bloomed all summer with NO added work. I fertilized and watered well when I set them out and put down newspaper around them with mulch on top. I am anxious to see how they do this year and plan on planting some more. They have the rose look only on a much smaller scale.
Really like the ribbon treatment on that pretty dp.
Wow!! This card is gorgeous Leslie, love the roses love the papers
