A Little Pun Fun

Published by leslierich at 12:00 am under Cards, Stampin' Up! projects

PunFun First Skunk Jan09I made this card for a coworker who likes skunks and yellow.  This being a Valentine, I went mellow on the yellow but I think it’s perfect for her.  The sentiment is so darn cute, I can’t help but love it!

The papers are more of my new SU! Candy Lane and the skunk is from the Pun Fun set.  I colored him (her?) with markers and made mats with my Spellbinders dies.  There’s a little blush of Pink Pirouette sponged around the edges of the heart mat.  I found the cute ribbon at my local scrapbook store and used it and the rhinestones for the finishing touches.

I’m determined to use up all or most of this Candy Lane paper before it retires.  That would be a first for me, but I think it’s do-able.  The patterns are not exclusive to Valentines…they’re quite versatile, really.

Well, I’ve got some other irons in the fire so I must be off.  It’s the middle of the work week and time is short — I need to talk less and do more!  I’m so glad you could stop by for this brief visit.  I really do appreciate your time and I hope to be sharing more before the week is over.  See you again soon!

  • Stamps:  Pun Fun (Stampin’ Up!)
  • Paper:  Close to Cocoa, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Candy Lane designer paper
  • Ink:  Palette Noir, Pink Pirouette, markers for coloring
  • Accessories:  Ribbon, rhinestones, Spellbinders dies, word window punch, Scotch brand foam mounting tape

Hi Leslie! You must really add to the atmosphere of your office. How fun to make cards for coworkers. I bet they love it and what’s not to love about this stinkin’ cute card! I finally broke down and bought my first nestabilities. I hope I can make them work half as cute as you do.

I just have to say I wish I worked in your office. I’d be sneaking over to your department all the time to admire your artwork. This skunk card is precious and I adore your coloring and the little pink rhinestones.

This card is adorable and I am sure she will love it. I know yellow can be a bit over powering so you were smart in toning it down…lol. Hope you get a lot accomplished and TFS.

So stinking cute :-) I was thinking this image would be perfect for V-tines too, but you beat me to the idea. Love how you are using your DP too. Leaving shortly for another 3 day trailer camping trip down the coast. Am taking SU images to color with my prismacolor markers and my knitting. Don’t we all have fun !?! Happy stamping, nancy
P.S. our order will be here when we get home on friday :-)

Really very cute, and so appropriate for your friend. She must have loved it. I really like the fun ribbon and effect of the sponging around the edge of the heart. Linda
