Mmmmmmm…Smell the Coffee

Published by leslierich at 2:00 am under Cards

IOSmellTheCoffee2May09Every now and then I’m in the mood for something bright, fun, and a little bit funky, so that’s what I’m sharing today in a card made with my Impression Obsession Smell The Coffee set.  Naturally, I’m so pokey slow about getting back around to this set again that I can no longer link to it directly in the store where I purchased it (Stamper’s Dream), but I see lots of fun new items there now, including new stamps from Impression Obsession.

I did the coloring with Prismacolor markers and used BasicGrey Phoebe paper and other items from my incredibly fun and sizeable stamp room stash to dress it up.  I tell myself all the time to get busy and use up all those papers and embellishments, wear out that rubber and photopolymer, and then I spend all afternoon putting one card together and I’m reminded, once again, why I don’t produce more than I do.  I swear, I’ll get better at this someday!

I hope all my stamping friends worldwide have had an enjoyable weekend.  Here in the US we’re observing Memorial Day, but the sentiment is meaningful to folks everywhere.  We acknowledge with respect and gratitude every degree of sacrifice that has been made in service to our country, and we dedicate this day particularly to those we have loved and hold forever in our hearts.  It’s not just any old three day weekend…it’s time to say “thank you”, “I miss you”, and “I’ll remember you, always”.  Take care, and thank you so much for sharing your time with me.

Stamps:  Smell the Coffee by Impression Obsession  Paper:  Tempting Turquoise, Wheat Grass (by Memory Box), Whisper White, BasicGrey Phoebe designer paper  Ink:  Adirondack Pitch Black, Prismacolor markers for coloring  Accessories:  Offray ribbon, Prima Sprites flower, flower brad, Spellbinders curved rectangles dies, Scotch brand foam mounting tape

I love this image and you did a fabulous job coloring it. Do not feel bad, I only produce 2 cards a week, and that is a lot for me :).

Thanks for the kind words. I hear ya about not checking in often enough. I’ve been checking out all of your lovely creations, but I just haven’t been taking the time to comment recently. This REALLY amazed me though. Those coffee cups are just so fun and colorful. You gave that stamp a whole new look. TFS Leslie.
