Nasturtiums and a Preview of Something New From Flourishes
Hello! Today I decided to bring out my new Nasturtiums for a little stamping enjoyment. I wanted this card to be very clean and fresh in appearance, so I used lots of white and not too much clutter in the design. My flowers are stamped on watercolor paper and colored with Prismacolor markers.
See the pretty gold flower brad? Today, Flourishes is previewing Finishing Touches, a wonderful line of absolutely lovely card jewelry which will be available in the store this Friday, May 29. Oh, my goodness — gold, silver, and copper fancies in many gorgeous shapes and sizes. They’ve put together some nice little packages to choose from. Click on the following thumbnail for a sampling of the Beautiful Brads collection:
Aren’t they pretty? There’s also a Stunning Slides package, Finishing Florals, Mini Messages, and two different Pretty Pins collections. I love them all! Stacy, Julie, and Laura are sharing samples using these new embellishments today, too. Very fun! Have yourself a wonderful day, and I’ll see you again soon!
Stamps: Nasturtiums (from Flourishes) Paper: Certainly Celery, Apricot Appeal, watercolor, Neenah Classic Solar White, retired Stampin’ Up! designer paper Ink: Palette Umber, Prismacolor markers for coloring Accessories: Ribbon, flower brad, Spellbinders oval dies, Scotch brand foam mounting tape

Leslie, your card is off the charts pretty with the colors you picked and of course - they way you colored up those Nasturtiums! Love how you added the gorgeous brad too! Just a touch of class!

Girl !!! You are killing me…this is just stunningly beautiful…I swear your coloring is so darn perfect I think I am getting quite jealous…makes me wish I had the time to practice, practice practice. My sister and I were just now on the phone and I was showing her your garden (She is a gardener too)…all she kept saying was oh my…oh my…oh my…Yesterday I received my goodies from Flourishes…including the stamp set Sweet Peas. I cannot wait to ink it up…and now you are showing me these brads…that I just HAVE to have…You are also enabling me to order those Nasturtiums after seeing this beautiful work of art…I did buy the watercolor paper too…Wish me luck…

Oh my goodness, Leslie! Your nasturtiums card reminds me of those professional botanical prints with the flower names written in Latin. Your card is perfect and so very soothing. What great use of the Flourished card jewelry.

Every time I stop here, I have to gawk at your coloring, trying to figure out a few “how to’s”. You would think by now a little talent would have rubbed off. I also like how your new fancy brad is a nice simple complement to these darling nasturiums.
